Llwybr Cadfan Day 1

Sandra bought me a book about the Cadfan Way (The Cadfan Way by Jean Napier). We wanted to do another long distant path after walking the Basingstoke canal, The West Highland Way and The Isle of Wight Coastal Path. Instead of doing it in one go, we are going to walk it day by day as and when we have time in-between working and renovating our house.

I planned the first day by reading the book and making up my own route. I have now found the official web site with the official route. It turns out my route missed a church, so we’ll probably revisit the route and walk what we missed.

We drove to Llwyngwril early and parked in the train station car park. We caught the 0804 to Tywyn, a 13 minute journey. I had bought our tickets in advance and saved the tickets to my virtual wallet.

Sandra made a video of our day

We walked just over 10 miles. It was my birthday, so the Guinness at the end was well earned.
